My Overprotective father 3

I am so sorry for taking this long to post this last series on My Overprotective father

(Please refer to My Overprotective father 2, Slide to the left)
Please answer these questions truthfully and prayerfully:

- When was the last time you acknowledged God as a father?

- Do you even have a steady relationship with Jesus?

- Who is the Holyspirit to you?

- Have you come to an understanding of who God is to you, as a father, talk more of an Overprotective father?

- How diligent are you in pursuing a steady, thriving relationship with Jesus?

- When faced with challenges, trials, who/ what/where is your fist call for help?

These questions are simply a mirror to show you the state of your heart. Before you start blaming God for being an uncaring father, Check your heart first, Check yourself. I pray that the Lord will help you, in Jesus name. Shalom!

My Overprotective father 2

We are expected to pray for protection, not because God is not aware that we need protection but because that shows our dependence on him, to let him know that we recognise his authority figure against and above all powers, strongholds, principalities and territorial powers of darkness, to let him know that we don't take his grace for granted and to make the Devil know that we know our place in God.

Like my earlier example in Overprotective 1, just because I am the daughter of the Greatest and Highest being who was, who is, and who is to come, does not stop the Devil from threatening me, Satan tempted Jesus, so Who am I?

Even though God is my Overprotective Father, and he's always in my space, He's also a gentle father, he won't force himself on me.
Although, he's aware of the threats of the enemy against me, he might not always, necessarily come to my defense immediately, not because he doesn't care, rather, because he wants to see my reaction(my heart), my response to the threats.
Would I be afraid and run to people that can't help me or would I remember that I have a father that is over capable and likes to show off his power and authority at any given time?

Yes, there are times He(God) will rise on our behalf without our input, simply out of Mercy, however, he doesn't want us to become complacent and lazy rather he wants us to be diligent and committed in seeking him and that is because until, we have come to a level of understanding God as a(our) father, then and only then can we can lay claims to his promises and power with all boldness.
We come to this understanding by diligently seeking him and knowing him in a place of intimacy through the studying of his word, having communion with him(prayer), and so many other ways that would get us closer to him.

Oh yes, I know it takes God to get God but there has to be a desire, a hunger, a thirst for Righteousness in you.

Please be the judge:
A man has two sons, identical twins to be precise. Whenever he sends the first son on an errand, the son promises to go but never goes while the second son always seems reluctant and stubborn but always ends up going on the errand.

The man is a business mogul, in partnership with major companies in the world. The boys just finished their undergraduate studies and they wanted to work for a while before furthering their degrees.
On a Sunny, Saturday afternoon, the first son that hardly goes on errand, walked up to his father and asked him to connect him to a job.
Well, a father will always be a father, he made a call, and a placement was created for him in a multinational company. He was to resume work on Monday morning, a car with a driver had been provided.

The second son never asked his father to help him get a job because he expected his father to automatically help him since he was the faithful one. His father, so eager to help him was also waiting, expecting him to make a request as he didn't know what his son would like.
So, he waited and waited and waited....and is still waiting for his son's request.

Question: Whose fault is it that the 2nd son, the faithful one does not have a job and the 1st son, the unfaithful one has a job?(Please, be sincere to yourself)

God knows you need protection and he's the Overprotective father but you still find yourself, his child getting oppressed by the enemy, being threatened here and there, living life on little, next to nothing, sleeping in fear of uncertainties, then it's high time you: Check yourself.

Overprotective father 1!!

I overheard a Mummy call God, an Overprotective father. Please, let's check the meaning of *Overprotective*: having a tendency to protect someone, especially a child, excessively.

My picture of an overprotective father is one that is always in your matter. He doesn't give you space to breathe and God help any person that wants to stand as a threat to the child, you will face the Father before you come close to the child and that is where I am going to.

The Lord knows I have always been scared of anything to everything (N.B: You can check Jesus, My Protector 1 & 2) however, Jesus caused a transformation in my life that drove that fear away from me, as far as the heavens are from the earth..

However, sometimes, I get scared of the spiritual realm, when it's time to sleep and I can't control much in my dreams, I cover my self with the blood of Jesus as many times as possible, then, plead the fire of the Holy Ghost to protect and raise a hedge of Fire around my dream life, it's not funny...

But, when that Mummy called God, an Overprotective Father, something resounded in my heart.
If I call God an Overprotective father, that means, not just anyone comes near me, this means God screens anyone that comes 1000m close, he screens those I call my friends, so much that when their hearts start to change and I don't know(because I don't read people's heart), he starts to show me reasons and starts to tell me to watch out and when necessary cut them off.
Now, this is just in the physical, talk more of the spiritual where Jesus is the head of all principalities and powers, and everything, everyone, and anything bows to him from the highest heavens to Hades, the lowest of hell, including under the sea.

If I have family members that are the heads of evil and good, then no evil is permitted to touch me, except they allow and every good is my portion in full measure.
Imagine, my father is the head of kidnappers, which kidnapper will dare to kidnap me, infact once they hear my name/surname, fear would run down their spine and if they even dare, the person's end is at hand.

Now, I am the child of the Greatest and the Highest being plus he is overprotective in nature, meaning He's all in my business and guess what, I am not to pray for protection out of fear but out of an understanding of who I have as a Father.
An overprotective father means, even when I am tired of his presence(which I can never be, by the mercies of God), his protection is 100% standby.

Please note, I did not say we should no longer pray for protection, rather, when we pray for protection, we do not pray from the angle of fear but from a depth of understanding of who we call and have as a father.

To be Continued...

Dont touch my hair!

I remember when I was in primary school, there were friends I had that while playing with them, if your hand mistakenly touched their head, you will hear, "Don't touch my head", when asked why, the reply would be "Because my Mummy said I should not allow anybody to touch my head".

That time, it sounded trivia and nonsensical but over the years, I have come to realise that indeed people should not touch your head.
As a girl, that can be a bit difficult especially when you have a nice hair texture, everybody just wants to touch your hair, indirectly touching your head, and guys are not left out, especially when they have unusual hair patterns and texture, then, you hear, "Are you an half-caste?" or "Is this your real hair?" followed by the next inevitable question, "Please can I touch your hair?"(trust me, I am guilty here), the worst is when, they don't even ask for your permission and start touching your hair, that can be very annoying.

Your head is a sign of your authority, you don't allow people touch your hair or your head anyhow, from your friends up to even a man of God, except by the leading of Holy Spirit.

If you allow people touch or play with your hair, it's as well giving them the power to do anything they like with you, either physically or spiritually.

If people or anybody can touch your hair or head anyhow and it's okay with you, then, you are as well saying, "You can have control over my life".

Even the Bible says, the hair of a woman is the glory of the woman, so in allowing people touch your hair, including hairdressers/barbers, you have to be watchful of the hands that work on your hair, you can't let just anyone touch your hair/your head.

This might sound trivia and nonsensical like what my primary school mates were saying back then, but it's the truth, and guess what the truth will set you free.

Some people are going through some terrible stuffs, just because of someone, somewhere that touched their hair.

Not everyone will make heaven..Will you?

ESV:For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

KJV:For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

NIV:For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

NLT:For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

People always say, Jesus came to save all, however, technically looking at this scripture, Jesus did not come to save all, instead "many". This is why in the book of John, we read "as many that believe, they are called the sons of God"(paraphrased), even our favourite and most popular verse of the Bible,

KJV:For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16

makes us understand that whosoever believeth in Jesus NOT

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten to the whole world, so that as long as you are in the whole world, you will not perish but have everlasting life or make heaven"..

We can see that there's a condition, the salvation message is a conditional message, if you do this, you will get this..meaning, if the whole world believes in Jesus then the whole world gets everlasting life but if just few believe in Jesus, then, only those few get everlasting life.

Now, we all know that everyone will not believe, it's not a curse, that's just nature, the power of choice. God won't force himself on you, the same thing with Jesus, so, if you don't align yourself with Jesus(like Victoria Orenze will say), don't expect to get everlasting life or expect to make heaven..that is the truth.

Yes, Jesus died for the world but his death is not the world's ticket to everlasting life..it is the believing in Jesus (his birth, works, death, commandments, resurrection, his Father, his Spirit, and everything else that resonates Jesus) that gets you everlasting life..

Where do YOU stand, Do you believe in Jesus and confess him as your personal Lord & Saviour or do you think just because you are in the world, automatically, you will have everlasting life? Reflect.

Can I be perfect?

48
ESV:You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

KJV:Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

NIV:Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

NLT:But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.Matthew 5:48

When Jesus said we should be perfect, he knew we could be perfect. Notice, he did not say when you get to heaven, you will be perfect..his statement was made in present continuous tense..right now..Be ye perfect.. not try to be perfect nor keep trying to be perfect..

Our aim as Christians is to be perfect like God, our Father.
It is the joy of every parent, most especially, the Father when his children/offspring are a chip off the shoulder(that is, looks like him, talks like him, thinks like him, walks like him, even laughs like him).
There is no intelligent parent that would want/be happy having a dull child, not that he discriminates dull children but that the child does not take after him, then, you start hearing statements like, "Are you sure, I am your father?" or "I don't know where you carried your brain from because it's not my own", etc.

Infact, if you check most parents that play favourites with their children, in most cases, you see that the children they love the most are either the ones that have sharp minds/mouth like them or the ones that are their perfect look-a-like.

If all these are applicable to men, talk more of God, our father, who created us in his likeness.. What do you expect?

God expects us, as Christians, to look like him, think like him, react to situations like him, if possible, laugh like him. He expects us to be like him, to carry his nature in every aspect of our lives, including today's topic: Perfection.

Yes, we are humans, we are still in our flesh, we tend to do the things we don't want to do and neglect the ones we are supposed to do, we are mere dust...I know all these factual excuses and Jesus knows them too, and that is why I love the amplified version of theme scripture, which says,

48
You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete [ak]maturity of godliness in mind and character, [al]having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect.(N) Matthew 5:48(AMP)

From this passage, we can see that the perfection God expects from us is not a state/position of "no mistakes", rather, its a walk, a growth process into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character.. this just reminds me of Romans 12:1 &2, the MSG translation

1-2
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.
Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.
Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you
.

Infact, Romans 12:1&2 is simply a summary of how we are to attain perfection with God and in God.

*This is a bit comprehensive but I ask that the Holyspirit enlightens the eyes of your understanding and helps you comprehend what "perfection" in God's sight means.

So, the next time, someone tells you or you tell yourself, "Nobody is perfect, only God", remember this,"Yes, Nobody (in some sense) is perfect", but God expects us to be perfect, meaning, we can be perfect and with God's grace and the help from the Holyspirit, we will be perfect, not just in heaven but even here on earth, RIGHT NOW.

Be ye perfect as your father in heaven is.. Shalom!

Things are not always the way they seem

The man is in flowing crystal white robes, with extra dramatic effects. He must be an angel, he's trying to pass across a message..

Angel: Earthly vessel, earthly vessel, wake up and get this message sent from above..

But then, the angel's voice starts to sound distorted, as if there's too much breeze blowing his mouth...

Angel: The mess..sage..is..s.. "Hey John, reduce that fan, shift it to the left small, it's blowing my wig off"..Okay, so where did I stop..?

NIV:Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

NIV:This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

NIV:but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 1 John 4:1-3

Jesus, My Protector (II)

From Jesus, My Protector(I), we learnt that as a christian, we might have certain veils in our hearts that would be hindering God's maximum move, control, love from spreading through our lives; and we said, we are to ask the Lord, give him the permission to work on our hearts.

Telling the Lord to search your heart does not mean you are not a child of God. The presence of veils in your life does not mean you have not given your life to Christ..
Your acknowledgement of veils in your life and wanting to tear them down speaks Spiritual maturity, it speaks how much you want to let go to get God, and God sees that.

From Philippians 1:6,
"NLT:And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.",

we can see that we are all Work-In-Progress, until Jesus comes,

"NLT:Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely."1 Corinthians 13:12,

So, with this, we are to work out Salvation towards perfection, tearing down as many veils and weights that would want to slow us down on our Christian race...

"NLT:Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us."Hebrews 12:1,

God expects you to tear as many veils that are obstructing your view,

"NLT: So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image."2 Corinthians 3:18

So, from today, start tearing down the veils, the veils of pain, distrust, mistrust, anger, malice, depression, loneliness, sadness, confusion, misunderstandings with the help of the Holy Spirit, and let God be glorified in your life.... Amen.

Happy New Month!!!

Jesus, My Protector (I)

For some days now, running into weeks and definitely months, God has been taking me through several lessons on "Jesus, My Protector"..

You see, I am someone that has always seen people around me as my protectors with the ideology that "at least, I can see them, than God that I can not see"..for example, with my friends, I say, I can't be hurt because they will be there for me, just like I try to be there for them..

With my mom, when I am with her, I have always felt that nothing, NOTHING(bad) can happen to me, I can do odenshi to anybody... but all that changed after a gruesome encounter I had with a bus conductor on a late Monday night..

Actually, the change started a long time ago, in series until the last straw was broken...
However, on that day, my eyes were opened, and in my own writings, this is what I recorded..

"Today proved me wrong. My mom was there but I still received a stinging blow on my mouth...Although, the guy didn't go without having his own beatings especially on his head from my mom's umbrella...

I have learnt from today's encounter that:
1. It is only God that has my back in all situations
2. My mom is still a human being, just like me, so she also has her limitations.
3. People don't care or notice you, they only care about themselves or what they think is right."

This is my own veil that the Lord has been tearing down, it has not been easy because this is a veil that has been built up through thick and thin, in the cold and hot weather, for many years...
Infact, I didn't realise this veil was there, until, I laid my life at Jesus's feet and I told him to search my heart and test it, to show me the hidden things there because from the Bible, I learnt that

"NLT:“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?" Jer 17:9, NLT

However, I also discovered this:

"NLT:No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit." 1 Cor 2:11, NLT

But it did not stop there, I saw this too:

"NLT:And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us." 1 Cor 2:12, NLT

With these verses, I made this request to God:

"NLT:Put me on trial, Lord, and cross-examine me. Test my motives and my heart." Psalm 26:2,NLT

And it has been a roller coaster of events.

What is your veil? Have you discovered it yet? In other words, what are you struggling with? Have you laid it at the feet of Jesus?

Like Pastor Nathaniel Bassey said, "Little foxes and Secret faults will spring surprises on that final day."

Search your heart, before it's too late!

Knowledge!

Good Morning...
I want to apologise for not writing for some time...At a certain time, I went through two enormous situations that left me thinking and not "feeling" like writing, which is wrong...
No matter how I feel I should always write because someone always needs that insight, encouragement, admonishing, teaching, etc.
   So, I am sorry...

In time, I would share those enormous situations with you, what I learnt and the testimonies I got from them.

Well, for sometime now, I have been coming across "knowledge" verses in the Bible.. Some look like this:

"A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash."(Proverbs 15:14, NLT)

"For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy."(Proverbs 2:10, NLT)

Every time, I came across verses like these, I prayed that God should give me knowledge but one day, I stopped praying..Do you want to know why?

You see: One day, while at church, I saw a picture of myself, looking very old, reading books and regretting why I did not read all these books when I was much younger.. and God said, "In order to avoid this predicament, Start reading now..."

There is a book I have been reading for up to a month now, the Holy Spirit asked me, "What are you reading in a book for one month?", He said, if I was to read every book like that, how many books would I have finished in a year, just 12 books, when I have the goal of 400 books?

What is my point? Child of God, to get knowledge is not a prayer point, it's an action point. You have to take action, by reading.. Get books, Hardcopy is no excuse.
Now, there are variety of books, audio books, electronic books, hard copy books, video books..You have no excuse.

God expects us as Christians to read, be informed. Apart from your inner circle of family and friends, and your compound, where else do you know? Do you know what is going on in the country? Get a Newspaper.

Finally, The Bible encourages us to: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."(2Timothy 2:15, KJV)

"Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth."(2Timothy 2:15, NLT)

As a Christian, God expects you to correctly explain the word of truth to baby Christians, unbelievers, etc. unashamed and this is only possible if you study the Word of God..

So in all, To get knowledge, Study...You have no excuse.. Have a blessed day today.#Shalom!

I love you...

I just want to let you know that you are not alone in your fight, your struggles, your pains, your unanswered prayers, your tears, your doubts, your anger, your sadness and your fears.

Jesus said, “I will personally go with you, (insert your name)_________, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.”(Exodus 33:14, NLT)

He also promised this:
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."(John 14:27, NLT)

He did not promise that the road would be smooth and would always make sense, however, this is what He promised:

"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you."

"When the poor and needy search for water and there is none, and their tongues are parched from thirst, then I, the Lord, will answer them.
I, the God of Israel, will never abandon them."

"Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you."

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you."

Signed:
  Jesus

Your words carry weight, Use them RIGHT!

4. NLT:Love wisdom like a sister; make insight a beloved member of your family.

5. NLT:Let them protect you from an affair with an immoral woman, from listening to the flattery of a promiscuous woman.

21.
NIV:With persuasive words she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk.

NLT:So she seduced him with her pretty speech and enticed him with her flattery.

22
NLT:He followed her at once, like an ox going to the slaughter. He was like a stag caught in a trap,

26
NLT:For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.

27
NLT:Her house is the road to the grave. Her bedroom is the den of Death.

Normally, verse 26 & 27 would be attributed to a witch but here it's attributed to an immoral woman.

An immoral woman has the power & skill to ruin and finish many men just with her tongue, her smooth talk.. You can ask Delilah how she finished Samson in Judges 16.

If words have some much weight & power, why can't I(rather, why don't I) use it in the positive light to impact greatness and comfort to many men?
  Shalom!

BE FILLED with THE WORD!

Be filled with the Word, you can never be FULL of the Word to the extent that there's no space in you to contain the Word.

No matter how much you study the Word, you can NEVER fully grasp the Word, because the Word comes in different dimensions and we, as humans, only see and understand in part.(1 Cor 13:9)

For a long time, I have struggled and I still struggle with "Depression" from time to time and do you know what keeps me afloat, THE WORD.
I am not saying this to sound all superior and highly religious but I am simply stating the fact and truth.(Heb 4:12)

Every time, a situation or thought comes up and threatens to pull me into "Depression", I combat it with the Word through the help of the Holy Spirit.(Eph 6:17)
The Holy Spirit brings out every word related to that situation/thought from my heart.

You can not give what you don't have, so, also, the Holy Spirit can not bring out anything if nothing was stored.
  So fill yourself up!

The Bible says, The Holy Spirit would remind us of the truth. If you have not come across the truth by reading the Word, what do you want Him to remind you?(John 14:26)

You need to fill yourself with the Word by reading it, and reading it DAILY, not quarterly, monthly, bi-weekly or whenever you feel like.(2 Tim 2:15)

The Word is the ONLY thing the Devil is scared of, and that is why he keeps you & me plus other believers in the dark and doesn't allow us to read it.

It is only the Holy Spirit that can help you & I to read, especially, when we don't feel like but you have to ask for his help and put in some effort.(Phil 2:13)

There are some things God would not do for you because He has already done it, and all you need to do is FIND it, in the Word.
And if you don't find it, you will continue to live in Ignorance, Defeat, Confusion, etc.

FILL YOURSELF WITH THE WORD!
#Shalom.

Bible Study on the book of Colossians

NLT:Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
NLT:For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:2-3

Yes, we are not supposed to think of the things on earth but we have jobs, spouses, children and other things.
So, how is this applicable to us?

Well, when we focus on God and apply the things we learn from him and his word, the effect of obedience starts to rub off on our earthly things, making us to prosper.

We are not prospering because we are focusing on earthly things rather because we are focusing on God.

Check out this scenario:
You have a job/business.
The Bible says, 'Whatever your hands find to do, do it as unto the Lord'. You obey and apply this word, automatically, you start to prosper.

You are not just prospering because your aim is on the job/business, instead, you are prospering because you are obeying and applying the word, and the result of obedience opens up your prosperity, in the sense that, God starts to bless the works of your hands.

ESV:He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God, and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper. 2 Chronicles 26:5

#Shalom.

And that is how I failed the test...

Today, I was put to a test and I failed it.
God told me to give the okada(motorcycle) man that brought me home, an extra 100naira but I refused with the excuse of: "I don't want any person stalking my house, thinking we are rich people and then setting the way for robbers"... The nudging to give continued until the man was out of my sight but I refused.

When the man had gone, then, God said, "And you are looking for someone to help you when you can't release an extra 100naira. God won't send his child to give money to someone who is tight-fisted."

God expects that freely it was given to you, then, freely, you should give out but I held back, and now, I am sorry but it's too late, the man is gone and the test is over.

God, please forgive me.
Please, let your mercy prevail over judgement.
Let your mercy prevail over my life
, in Jesus name...

I fell in LOVE with his Anointing

I stumbled on a vlog(video blog) on YouTube and I got hooked by the way the teacher in the video kept on dissecting and bringing to life the word of God, at the same time, applying it to our modern day life, especially as youths.

This video made me to check another video, which led to another video till my phone battery went down, and then, I just fell in love with the teacher, and I could imagine the both of us, holding hands together, walking side by side, while I am admiring everything about him...But guess what?
I fell in love with his Anointing not his Personality and this is where everything goes WRONG.

Imagine, I watched a guy on video and simply because he is so like my type of guy, I am already tripping for him and imagining the un-neccessary. This might sound strange but this is what happens to a lot of ladies.

You hear stories like, "He's changed", "He's not the man I used to know", "I don't know this guy anymore, He's a total stranger " and other stories that touch the heart.. And you are wondering what happened...?

Let me tell you what happened:
"He had this charisma and aura that left people awed, He was preaching the word of God like fire, and when he came on stage, he spoke those words that went straight to her heart and she could feel the connection... She already has a huge crush on him.

She was fortunate that she got to meet him and they got talking.. He spoke words that mirror her values and standards as a woman....Oh!! She's already falling in love.

Please note: She does not know anything about him, how he treats his family members, how he behaves when angry or hungry, how he treats money, "Does he snore while sleeping with spit drooling everywhere?", "Does he masturbate?".. She has no idea.

All she knows is his packaged form, speaking the right words, even quoting Bible scriptures like he's a typewriter.
She only views his outside, then, peradventure, they get into a relationship or get married, you start to hear stories that touch the heart, like,"Did you know he beats his younger sister every time she makes an objection to his stance on any matter yet on stage/YouTube/the pulpit, he warns and encourage men to respect women and treat them with value?"

Although, my scenario was more feminine, it could be vice-versa, it also applies to the men.
When She sings/acts, it's like she is an angel that got raised on earth, and then you get hooked, only to realise that she's your greatest enemy of progress.

Please, let us be warned and listen to that voice of truth(The Holy Spirit) inside of us. Don't get carried away by the Anointing, Charisma, Beauty, Aura because you see, all of them have their periods but the Character & Personality of a person is forever...Shalom.

Test-i-monies

You know, these past few days, I have been sharing several wonderful testimonies of what God has been doing for me and it has been awesome.

Everyday, I have shared happy testimonies and it looks like, "Oh! God is with her" or "It seems she's the only one God has decided to smile on". I can't imagine the different thoughts running through your mind so, I want to debunk (correct, and if possible erase) any of the wrong and misleading thought you might have, right now.
I would love to tell you a story, I hope you don't mind...

"Late last year, I went through a period, I would call *Spiritual block*. What does that mean?
This was a period, where I felt all alone, it was like God was so far from me, like "the heavens are far from the earth" far...
Whenever, I read my Bible, it seemed like I was reading story books that were just mythical, sometimes, romantic, annoying, fictional... It did not seem real.
Nothing seemed to make sense and everything I believed about God, I began to question how authentic and real, it was.
This continued for months, it was HELL. The week I decided to give up, God showed up.

At a later time, I will speak in details of how He showed up but for now, let me share what kept me going, daily despite the struggles.
1. I kept talking to Him despite the silence.
2. I continued reading my Bible, despite the fact that it seemed like nothing was entering my head.
3. I had Godly, Good and Strong support, in terms of family and friends.
4. I was attending a Holy Spirit directed, Bible believing Church.

Testimonies are stories of God's faithfulness, it might not always be about provision, it can also be about Deliverance from oppressions like Depression, Loneliness, Emotional pain & hurt, Anger, Malice, name them...
But in all, it's still about God's faithfulness and our victories over the Devil's wiles and vices...

Under this covering, let me use the opportunity to invite you on this journey of expectations, believing God for miracle, a healing, provision to your every need, this week through Uncommon means, and I believe that you shall testify to the greatness of God, in the land of Living.

He's Faithful, All the time.

Good Evening,
How was your day? I hope it went well, even if you feel like it was below normal, that's okay because according to Romans 8:28, God is working everything out for your good, that is, if you believe in Him. So, It's all good.

Well, for me, it was stressful but God was faithful. You see, we got to the shop quite late. Imagine, that kind of late, where, you know customers might have come and gone and it's only God that can bring you sales, coupled with the wonderful rainy weather.

Still, in all these, God was faithful because you see, God is not limited by time, nor by circumstances, neither by the number of people that say, "You are a failure" or "Its not gonna work(ko le work)" or "You are too late" and that is part of what makes God, GOD.

Now, I don't know what you are going through and though, it seems like it's too late or there's no way out and you just want to give up.
I am here to tell you, "DON'T GIVE UP & DON'T GIVE IN" because God is not, He is NEVER limited by time, circumstances, what people will say or even your own perspective(including your failures).

If God has said it, HE will do it. Hold on to his word and if you don't have a word to hold on to, then, find one in his WORD(The Bible) and I promise you that He will fulfill because God is NEVER late..He's always ON TIME, even if it seems the opposite, HOLD ON.

Once again, I am using this opportunity, to invite you on to this journey of expectations, believing God for a miracle, a healing, answers to prayers, provision for your every need, through Uncommon means, this week and I strongly believe that God will not allow our expectations to be cut short, in Jesus name. AMEN!

A Strenghtful day...

Hello...How was your yesterday?
I would really love to know how it went. Mine was "Strenghtful", although stressful.
You see, in the morning, at the beginning of sales, I prayed to God to strenghten and send help to us and God did just that. From morning up till the evening, Divine strenght was given.

I don't know what you must be passing through right now or what you are about to pass through..
I just want to encourage you by letting you know that the Grace for Strenght is available and all you need to do is ASK and I strongly believe that as you do ASK, it would be released upon you as it was released upon me, in Jesus name, AMEN.

BONUS TESTIMONY
That was how we got to the bus-stop in the evening, after the sales of the day. On entering the bus, the conductor showed me a seat but I decided to sit on a different seat, one much closer to my people.

As the bus started moving, we entered into traffic and that was when I started feeling the discomfort of the uncomfortable seat, I was sitting on.

You know that seat in danfo buses that is like the extra seat attached to other seats, that the conductor has to pull out for you to seat on...that was the seat and remember, we were stuck in those slow moving traffic.

As we got to one junction, where the road was really jallopy, I prayed a short and fast prayer in my mind, that God should make the person seating at the other end of my row seat(the one close to the window) to please come down, so that I can shift position.

Just after the quick prayer, the person announced that he was dropping at the next bus-stop and immediately he alighted, the traffic eased and road became free. Oh, Isn't God just too BIG?
And you can't imagine, he was the only one to alight from the bus till we got to our bus-stop.

Now, someone might say, "That is just coincidence" but I will say, "No, that was answers to prayers". How?
Let me tell you how.
Remember, when I was to enter the bus, the conductor showed me a seat which I declined, do you know Why? This is because the Lord was ordering my steps(just like I asked him to, earlier in the morning).
God knew ahead that the only person that would alight from the bus before we alighted would be the man on my row.
This means that if I had sat on the seat that the conductor offered me, I would have remained in discomfort on another uncomfortable seat till it was time for us to drop.
This Great God, Using Uncommon means to supply my every need.

Please join me on this journey of expectations, believing God for a miracle, answers to prayers, direction or provision to needs through Uncommon means, this week and I believe and pray that your expectations and mine would not be cut short in Jesus name, AMEN.

SPIRIT, SOUL & BODY!

Dear _______,(please, insert your name)
How was your day, today? Thanks for listening to my testimony about the LOST BUT FOUND story.
Well, today, was not as rough and drama-buzzing as yesterday but guess what? I have another story for you today.

You know, on Sunday evening in Church, Pastor told us to expect God to supply our needs through Uncommon means, this week, and you know what?
It has been working for me, at least, yesterday is one proof, so I want to encourage you to join me on this journey of expectations, believing God for a miracle, answers to prayers, direction or provision to needs, this week and I believe that your expectations and mine will not be cut short in Jesus name.
Okay, Let's get back to my story.

So, at some minutes past 12am today, God opened my eyes to some truths about this:
"Man is NOT a Spirit that has a soul and lives in a body" rather "Man is SPIRIT, SOUL and BODY" (this sounds a bit confusing, right?)

Let me explain this as the Holy Spirit helps me.

When a person dies, his soul and spirit is still alive and goes to meet God for judgement (NLT:And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, Heb 9:27) even though his body is still left here on earth.

The Bible shows us that resurrection at the last day or Rapture would not be complete if the soul and spirit of the man is not joined with his body.

From 2 Cor 5:3, it says that "For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.(NLT)".
Also, we can see that it is from our present earthly body that we would transform/translate into our heavenly body. We can get this from 1 Cor 15:42; it says:
"NLT:It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever.
43
NLT:Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.
44
NLT:They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies."

These verses shows us that the body of man is not just a trapping that his soul and spirit is living and enduring in but just as we have the Trinity as been the same God, so also, we have the Spirit, Soul and Body as the same man.

The Spirit and Soul can not function to its maximum potential without the body. They all need each other. Just as man is on earth, that is the same way we will be in heaven, made up of the Spirit, Soul & Body, and this can be seen in 1 Cor 15:49 that says:
"NLT:Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man."

And it doesn't just stop there, from 1 Cor 15:51, we see this:
"51
NLT:But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!
52
NLT:It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.
53
NLT:For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies."

Do you know why those who have died will be raised to live forever?
This is because although, they are dead on earth but living in heaven in their Spirit and soul form, they are not yet perfect and complete, because the body that needs to be transformed into an immortal body is still trapped here on earth.
So, the dead rise up first because their bodies need to be joined with their Spirit & Soul for the transformation to happen.

From 1 Cor 15:23, it says:
"NLT:But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back."
Just as Christians go to heaven to await the resurrection of their bodies and the judgement day, so also do evil doers/the wicked go to hell to await the resurrection of their bodies.

So, it is that Matt 27:52 says:
NLT:and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead.
53
NLT:They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people."

This tells us that the people that were raised from the dead are part of the crowd of captives in Ephesians 4:8, which says:
NLT:That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.”
After the resurrection of Jesus, these were the first group of people to be resurrected because it was with their physical bodies that Jesus took them along with him, so that means they were transformed into their immortal bodies, because if one was to check their graves, it would be empty because it says:
"Jesus raised them(their bodies) from the dead and they left the cemetery, not their spirits but their bodies".

This means that a form of resurrection occurred for the people whose bodies were raised from the cemetery into heaven.
NOTE: They appeared to people in the city, the word "appear" connotes temporary not permanently.

I know this is a lot for you to chew, so, I ask the Holy Spirit to shed more light on this in your heart as you go and also study to find out how true this is.

So, remember, "Man is NOT a Spirit that has a Soul and lives in a Body" rather "Man is SPIRIT, SOUL & BODY".

Lost but FOUND!!!

How was your day?
Mine was a rollercoaster filled with different rides: ranging from Joy, Fear to Anger, even Hunger..(Mhen, I was really hungry today).
You can't imagine what happened to me today.

So, today, in the afternoon, at the shop, I bought some goods from the "Premier" Uncle and as usual, I left it outside where he dropped it, even though, I could have told someone to take the goods inside but I didn't and guess who came in next... That Lady, I don't even know her name.

Anyways, that was how she came and carried some goods to one side that I should come and calculate them. From where I stood, I couldn't see all that she took, so I depended on whatever she told me to calculate.
When, I was through, she paid for the goods and I gave her, her change.

Few minutes later, that fair in complexion customer that is always asking for bread came and asked me for "Canoe" big bar soap. So, I went to check the goods that "Premier" Uncle dropped for me, only to discover that the Full carton of the soap was missing.
Gbese!!!(As the Yoruba's would call it.."Trouble", "Problem", " Wahala",...etc.)

I was no longer myself, I started looking everywhere for the soap, "market" that I have not paid for.

That is how I was looking for it and praying to God(The Holy Spirit) to help me out of this trouble, only for me to look towards that lady's market that I had calculated earlier on and see two cartons of "Hollandia" yoghurt that I did not calculate, sitting comfortably under her other goods that I had calculated.

Sharpaly, I asked my people if the yoghurt was our own, they answered "Yes".. I did not even think twice or waste time, I went straight to her goods and carried my cartons away.

Imagine, I was still looking for a full carton of soap and this woman is carrying two cartons of yoghurt. Please, tell me, where is my gain?

As I was still praying and thinking, that is how this Great God, this Sweet God, reminded me of one of the customers that an okada man helped to pack his loads..
He, then, laid it on my heart to send someone to the man's shop, to ask him if the soap was mistakenly packed into his goods.

Few minutes later, the person I sent, was walking towards me with the Full carton of soap, no reduction. Isn't God a great God? Isn't He too much?

When pastor declared yesterday, that God will supply all our needs through Uncommon means throughout this week..It was NOT a LIE!

In my case, God used a lost product to help me discover two of my goods that would have gone just like that and still brought back the lost product to me.

Indeed, God is a True & Living GOD!

Jesus turned Water to Coke!

It's last Sunday of the month, the drinks have finished and it seems like half of the population have not gotten drinks..Where did all the drinks go to???

Sis Wunmi says let's pour water into the empty bottles..Sis Titi laughs hysterically... Bro Laolu and Bro Jeffrey have gone to buy bags of pure water satchets..

After 15 mins, 5 crates of Coca-Cola bottles are filled to the brim with pure-water, if we are going to do this, at least we can do it to its full..

It's time to go and share the "water-bottles", they have just entered the church hall, when..."JESUS..., then, BAM!!!, a loud thud is heard at the entrance, It's Sis Titi on the ground...

What happened?...Splashes of cold water meet her face, She has woken up...Thank you, Jesus...What happened??

She said, " I have always read the Bible as a book of stories, some times as non-fiction, most times magical, other times as romantic but never as real-life stories... Jesus turned Water to wine, I thought it was a metaphor until today...

If any man had told me, I would have cursed the man as a liar and blasphemer. How?? I was there when Sis Wunmi told the brothers to fill the coke bottles with water... I laughed..What was her plan?, I thought.

I was sent on an errand by the Pastor and I was just at their backs when they were carrying the crates into the church, I saw the water filled bottles but I heard my name and turned to see who was calling me...only to turn back and see Bro Jeffrey giving someone a bottle of coke, I mean Coca-Cola coke..I thought I was seeing double, just for me to see Bro Laolu also carrying bottles of Sprite, Fanta and Bitter Lemon from the same crate..I don't know what happened next...

Jesus turned Water to Coca- Cola Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Soda water...

Jesus is real o, The miracles in the Bibles are real...They are not bed-time magical stories formed by half-sleeping drunk men in the name of inspiration...

Ignorance...

Sitting comfortably in their semi-lavishly furnished parlor on those leather sofas that make "squish squish" sound when you make even the slightest turn, this conversation began, after Okon, Bola and Kenneth just finished eating full bowls of Eba and richly garnished vegetable soup with chilled pure water from Mama Ekong's buka...

Okon: Eh...This Mama Ekong food no go kill person..Ehn..Una see Gloria when she waka come from church this hot afternoon.. Who dey go Church on Saturday?

Kenneth: A no no ooo, Saturday, wey person suppose take flex, rest, then, flex again...

Okon: Yes o, I even hear say for her church, Na only grass dem dey chop..U don hear that one before??

Bola: My brothers, you no suppose dey talk like that.. As una dey talk, I am very sure say God no dey happy...

Kenneth: Wetin concern God with the matter wey we dey yarn, Everything, God, We chop, God, We sleep, God, We Shit, God...we no fit talk now..God..

Okon: No mind am, on top say him pidgin no pure, Na so so God..Oya tell us wetin we talk wey vex God?

Bola: Ehn, Kenneth abeg bring my two Bibles come. Come see wetin God talk about this matter...In Romans 14..

1.
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don't see things the way you do.
And don't jump all over them every time they do or say something you don't agree with—even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently.(MSG)

2.
(NLT)For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables.

3
(NLT)Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t.
And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.

Okon: Jesus, so this kind thing dey for inside Bible...

Bola: E never finish...

5
(NLT)In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike.
You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.

6
(NLT)Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him.
Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating.
And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.

10
(NLT)So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer?
Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

Kenneth: Ah!!! Me too o, I no know say this kind thing dey inside Bible...

Bola:
12
(NLT)Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.

13
(NLT)So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

14
(NLT)I know and am convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food, in and of itself, is wrong to eat.
But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong.

20a
(NLT)Don’t tear apart the work of God over what you eat. Remember, all foods are acceptable
...

Okon & Kenneth: God, forgive us o, we no know...

Okon: Now wey I know, No be for my mouth una go hear that kind nonsense again...

Fire! Fire!! Fire!!!

It was no longer rumours, rather, it had become stale gist hanging in the air...the hike in fuel price, three months ago, had made men stock their houses with jerry cans of fuel in their different sizes, ranging from 5 litres to 50 litres, as their pockets could handle.

This was the scene at Mr Williams house, on that fateful Sunday Afternoon. Ben, his 11 yr old boy, such a curious one was carrying out an experiment he had learnt from school, those "don't try it at home experiments", the experiment was at its final stage, all it needed was a bit of solvent, "what would be a better solvent, if not petrol?", he asked aloud.

Straight to the backyard, he took just a little, screwed the cap of the can back and left to continue his experiment.

Six hours later, while the family sat to have dinner, Bisi, the house maid was two blocks away, gisting with Iya Tunde, the pepper seller, when....BOOM!!!...
A large pillow of Fire and Smoke with the remainings of the house was seen scattered in the air. That was the last, seen of the Williams...

Few days later, when the area was searched for the cause of the fire explosion, it was discovered that one of the jerry cans was leaking, spilling petrol, then, there was a spark from a naked wire which ignited the leaked petrol, straight to the other jerry cans that were full of petrol arranged side by side...

PLEASE NOTE: Let us be careful in the way we store our fuel..Check your jerry cans regularly, for any defect or leakage, make sure the caps are tightened properly.

The Forgotten Ones 1

Daddy, Daddy, where's Mummy? Daddy, I'm hungry. Daddy...
"Aisha, Shh..."
, He whispered in distress.
They were hidden in an underground room under the house but that did not mean, a slightest sound made could not be heard from above.
Since 2pm, right after the news circulated that gunned men were seen ransacking the closest town, some kilometres away, terror, fear, dread and silence had fallen on this town as a blanket.

With the 6'o clock prayer meeting abandoned not out of forgetfulness, rather to the last killings that happened two weeks ago while the offering bag was being passed round in the darkly lit room, filled with shadows of men and women alike, not because there was no provision for light but so as not to rouse the curiosity or attention of even a passerby, still, that did not stop the information from getting out. It was on this day that Aisha's mum along with some other brethren were shot to death, a sum total of 45 people.

"Jesus, for how long shall this continue, Jesus, save us..Jesus, preserve us..There's no food in town as every trader has gone into hiding..Jesus, send help..Jesus, raise men to pray for us..Jesus, fight for us..Jesus, Arise..Jesus, vindicate us..Jesus, Jesus, Jesus...", Aisha's father prayed this while speaking in tongues in as low tones as possible.

PLEASE, ARISE & PRAY FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, MOTHERS AND FATHERS IN THE NORTH, THEY ARE IN DIRE NEED OF OUR PRAYERS...

"Lord, save your people, the remnant of the Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria."Jeremiah 31:7b,NIV

Wednesday 4 January 2017

What did God do for you in the year 2016???

- He delivered me from the Spirit of depression.
- He broke away the bondages and chains of fear that has held me down for as long as secondary school.
- He always responded when I questioned him, He didn't leave me hanging.
- He revealed to me things to happen so that nothing would catch me unaware.
- He opened my eyes through this scriptures: John 14:27, John 17:17.
- He saved me from the fangs of sickness and the claws of death.
- He surrounded me with a strong support system: from My Lovely Family to my Amazing friends to My Ever Attentive and Discerning Spiritual Mentors.
- He opened up my voice and anointed her.
- He opened my eyes and gave me the grace to learn how to save money.
- He loved me and took care of me like his child, that I am.
- He taught me that life, good health, education, provision, are all miracles that we experience daily, but we take for granted.
- I read so much books, and that increased my knowledge sphere.
- I learnt from Him that when things don't work out, He wants you to learn lessons from it because He's preparing you for something much greater and you will need to apply what you have learnt to sustain you.
- I went through one of the most challenging and silent times of my life with God and I came out victorious because He never left my side, NEVER!

I am blessed, If God did all this for me last year, then, I can say:
Lord, increase my greatness in the
- knowledge of who you are,
- knowledge of what Life is all about

Lord, increase my greatness in my capability to thank you at every moment for the things you have done, you are doing and the things you will do(even though, you have already done it)

Lord, increase my greatness in the area of trusting you and Understanding that I can not always be in control and that is okay because as long as you are in charge, NOTHING can go wrong.

Lord, increase my greatness in my finances corner, more moneyinspirations.

I could write and write but for now, I have decided to drop my pen and continue to thank him for how much He was to me in the last year...He did quite a lot and I didn't notice, probably because I didn't write it down.

I encourage you, today or whenever you are free but as soon as possible, find a spot where you can think...Then, reflect on how the last year went, the things God did for you...As you recall, write down as much as you can.
When you are through, read through all the points and you would be amazed at all the things the Lord has done for you, that you never took note of...
Share these testimonies with your friends, family, your Facebook friends, your WhatsApp friends, Church, this is because the more you share, the more God sends more blessings and the Devil is conquered...

"And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their TESTIMONY. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die."Revelations 12:11, NLT.

The Lord bless you and Keep you, in Jesus Mighty name...Amen. Have a lovely day today.#Reflect2016/17

Happy New Year..I am glad you made it!!!

I confess that I consider the entrance into the New Year, a privilege and blessing, not just for me, but for my family, friends, and everyone that has been a part of the family of Christ...
Today, I might not write much because apart from the fact that I am still in awe of how fast the last year came and went, I am in greater awe on how the Lord saw me through the last year, the lessons He taught me, the bondages and captivities He set me free from and so much more...I do not intend to sound selfish but I intend to reflect on all the past and look forward to the future, not alone but with God on my side, holding my right hand and leading me wherever he intends to take me to...

This year, My Personal theme: To trust the Lord with all that I am and with all I have.
For, I do not know what the future holds, so my only take is to trust the One who knows and is totally in charge. I encourage you to do the same. It is well with You. I pray that the Lord holds your hand in this era of change and grants you clear direction, gives you strenght and enable you to fulfill the plans and promises of God for your life and the grace to continue strong and finish well in this out Christian race.

I am glad you made it into this new year, but you must also realise that with such a great gift as life comes a greater responsibility, to establish the Kingdom of God, here on earth. In this new year, I encourage you to make conscious efforts to expand the kingdom of God here on earth because remember, we are all just passing through this earth...We are all pilgrims, Our final destination is Our Heavenly home and there the full family awaits us all....I can't wait!!!!!

Happy New Year People of God..Happy New Year...It is going to be a great year..Welcome, Once Again..
