Fire! Fire!! Fire!!!

It was no longer rumours, rather, it had become stale gist hanging in the air...the hike in fuel price, three months ago, had made men stock their houses with jerry cans of fuel in their different sizes, ranging from 5 litres to 50 litres, as their pockets could handle.

This was the scene at Mr Williams house, on that fateful Sunday Afternoon. Ben, his 11 yr old boy, such a curious one was carrying out an experiment he had learnt from school, those "don't try it at home experiments", the experiment was at its final stage, all it needed was a bit of solvent, "what would be a better solvent, if not petrol?", he asked aloud.

Straight to the backyard, he took just a little, screwed the cap of the can back and left to continue his experiment.

Six hours later, while the family sat to have dinner, Bisi, the house maid was two blocks away, gisting with Iya Tunde, the pepper seller, when....BOOM!!!...
A large pillow of Fire and Smoke with the remainings of the house was seen scattered in the air. That was the last, seen of the Williams...

Few days later, when the area was searched for the cause of the fire explosion, it was discovered that one of the jerry cans was leaking, spilling petrol, then, there was a spark from a naked wire which ignited the leaked petrol, straight to the other jerry cans that were full of petrol arranged side by side...

PLEASE NOTE: Let us be careful in the way we store our fuel..Check your jerry cans regularly, for any defect or leakage, make sure the caps are tightened properly.

"Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well."1 John 1:2, NIV

The Forgotten Ones 1

Daddy, Daddy, where's Mummy? Daddy, I'm hungry. Daddy...
"Aisha, Shh..."
, He whispered in distress.
They were hidden in an underground room under the house but that did not mean, a slightest sound made could not be heard from above.
Since 2pm, right after the news circulated that gunned men were seen ransacking the closest town, some kilometres away, terror, fear, dread and silence had fallen on this town as a blanket.

With the 6'o clock prayer meeting abandoned not out of forgetfulness, rather to the last killings that happened two weeks ago while the offering bag was being passed round in the darkly lit room, filled with shadows of men and women alike, not because there was no provision for light but so as not to rouse the curiosity or attention of even a passerby, still, that did not stop the information from getting out. It was on this day that Aisha's mum along with some other brethren were shot to death, a sum total of 45 people.

"Jesus, for how long shall this continue, Jesus, save us..Jesus, preserve us..There's no food in town as every trader has gone into hiding..Jesus, send help..Jesus, raise men to pray for us..Jesus, fight for us..Jesus, Arise..Jesus, vindicate us..Jesus, Jesus, Jesus...", Aisha's father prayed this while speaking in tongues in as low tones as possible.

PLEASE, ARISE & PRAY FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, MOTHERS AND FATHERS IN THE NORTH, THEY ARE IN DIRE NEED OF OUR PRAYERS...

"Lord, save your people, the remnant of the Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria."Jeremiah 31:7b,NIV

What did God do for you in the year 2016???

- He delivered me from the Spirit of depression.
- He broke away the bondages and chains of fear that has held me down for as long as secondary school.
- He always responded when I questioned him, He didn't leave me hanging.
- He revealed to me things to happen so that nothing would catch me unaware.
- He opened my eyes through this scriptures: John 14:27, John 17:17.
- He saved me from the fangs of sickness and the claws of death.
- He surrounded me with a strong support system: from My Lovely Family to my Amazing friends to My Ever Attentive and Discerning Spiritual Mentors.
- He opened up my voice and anointed her.
- He opened my eyes and gave me the grace to learn how to save money.
- He loved me and took care of me like his child, that I am.
- He taught me that life, good health, education, provision, are all miracles that we experience daily, but we take for granted.
- I read so much books, and that increased my knowledge sphere.
- I learnt from Him that when things don't work out, He wants you to learn lessons from it because He's preparing you for something much greater and you will need to apply what you have learnt to sustain you.
- I went through one of the most challenging and silent times of my life with God and I came out victorious because He never left my side, NEVER!

I am blessed, If God did all this for me last year, then, I can say:
Lord, increase my greatness in the
- knowledge of who you are,
- knowledge of what Life is all about

Lord, increase my greatness in my capability to thank you at every moment for the things you have done, you are doing and the things you will do(even though, you have already done it)

Lord, increase my greatness in the area of trusting you and Understanding that I can not always be in control and that is okay because as long as you are in charge, NOTHING can go wrong.

Lord, increase my greatness in my finances corner, more moneyinspirations.

I could write and write but for now, I have decided to drop my pen and continue to thank him for how much He was to me in the last year...He did quite a lot and I didn't notice, probably because I didn't write it down.

I encourage you, today or whenever you are free but as soon as possible, find a spot where you can think...Then, reflect on how the last year went, the things God did for you...As you recall, write down as much as you can.
When you are through, read through all the points and you would be amazed at all the things the Lord has done for you, that you never took note of...
Share these testimonies with your friends, family, your Facebook friends, your WhatsApp friends, Church, this is because the more you share, the more God sends more blessings and the Devil is conquered...

"And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their TESTIMONY. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die."Revelations 12:11, NLT.

The Lord bless you and Keep you, in Jesus Mighty name...Amen. Have a lovely day today.#Reflect2016/17

Happy New Year..I am glad you made it!!!

I confess that I consider the entrance into the New Year, a privilege and blessing, not just for me, but for my family, friends, and everyone that has been a part of the family of Christ...
Today, I might not write much because apart from the fact that I am still in awe of how fast the last year came and went, I am in greater awe on how the Lord saw me through the last year, the lessons He taught me, the bondages and captivities He set me free from and so much more...I do not intend to sound selfish but I intend to reflect on all the past and look forward to the future, not alone but with God on my side, holding my right hand and leading me wherever he intends to take me to...

This year, My Personal theme: To trust the Lord with all that I am and with all I have.
For, I do not know what the future holds, so my only take is to trust the One who knows and is totally in charge. I encourage you to do the same. It is well with You. I pray that the Lord holds your hand in this era of change and grants you clear direction, gives you strenght and enable you to fulfill the plans and promises of God for your life and the grace to continue strong and finish well in this out Christian race.

I am glad you made it into this new year, but you must also realise that with such a great gift as life comes a greater responsibility, to establish the Kingdom of God, here on earth. In this new year, I encourage you to make conscious efforts to expand the kingdom of God here on earth because remember, we are all just passing through this earth...We are all pilgrims, Our final destination is Our Heavenly home and there the full family awaits us all....I can't wait!!!!!

Happy New Year People of God..Happy New Year...It is going to be a great year..Welcome, Once Again..
