How to get to a King's heart!
However, I have come to realise that making a request, when given the opportunity, we tend to make limiting requests. For example, You have been believing God for a spouse, Now, He grants you a blank cheque after praising him by asking "What do you want?", Your answer would just be "Lord, I want a spouse", Finish! Or, if it is a child you are looking for; Your answer would just be "Lord, I need a child, either a boy or a girl" and that's all!
Few months along the line, your spouse surfaces, or there is a record of missed period and a baby is on the way. You are so grateful... God has answered your prayer but Look!, you made a limiting request, you just asked for one thing; When next would you get the opportunity to come before the king?
Another mistake, people make while making a request to a king is asking for material things. For example: Hectares of lands, A House full of children, Properties and Estates, Job Offers & Promotions, simply amassing a huge amount of wealth.
You might say "but we need all these", Yes, and A king knows that, so you shouldn't ask for that, besides, they all have expiry dates. Instead, you should make a request that would create a greater positive impact on the people around you; In fact, when making a request to a king, Make a request that practically adds nothing to you except the joy emanating from the people you have blessed through your request.
Queen Esther, made a request (Sacrificial at that) to save a whole nation, King Solomon asked for that which would put the people in peace and security, Jesus made the greatest request "Send me, not my will but yours, let your will be done ".
My Final advice to you: 1. When before a king, don't make a request, instead, give him Praise, Thanks and Worship.
2. After giving him thanks, when asked to make a request, tell the king to give you whatever comes from his mind, this is because when a king gives whatever comes from his mind, it would be extremely & exceedingly greater than what you could have asked for and you won't seem greedy and infact, people would be envious of you. #Tip: Kings love to show off in everything, including giving!
3. If He insists that you should make a request even after he has given you whatever comes from his mind, Make a request that would immensely impact positively on the people, that would just make him fall in love with you. When you gain favour in the eyes of a king, you can't imagine what will happen to you and your generations.
So, the next time you give God that quality praise and He blesses you ' yanfu yanfu, yanfu yanfu', remember me in your paradise!

Lessons from Family devotion!!!
2. When we go out of the purpose of our lives, that is, do something else apart from what God assigned us, even if what we do seems right, we are out, we are out; nobody sent John the Baptist to talk to Herod about his infidelity, he was sent to proclaim Jesus as the Messiah, s'est fini.
3. Never make hasty decisions or oaths, Herod did and regretted it.
4. Herodias had an unforgiving spirit, that's bad.
5. Watch what you say, some troubles are really avoidable. You don't have to talk all the time.
